Here ya go. HOw to break in drum brakes.

Instructions

1. • 1 Drive to an open highway and accelerate to about 60 miles per hour. Do not exceed this speed; going faster could cause the brakes to overheat with repeated braking.
   • 2 Apply your brakes firmly but not hard enough the trigger the antilock braking system, or ABS. Slow down but do not stop. Decelerate to about 15 miles per hour and then accelerate back up to 60.
   • 3 Repeat Steps 1 and 2 about 10 times to break in your new drum brakes. After the last cycle, drive on the highway at a cruising speed and avoid applying your brakes as much as possible to allow the brakes to cool down; this takes about five minutes.
   • 4 Repeat one more break-in cycle after the brakes cool down, following Steps 1 through 3.

The "break-in" method as I was instructed was this:
Find a back country road with very little traffic
Accelerate to 40mph...take foot off gas...slowly set brake controller by hand until you slow to around 25mph
Drive another mile or so, allowing brakes to cool
Accelerate to 40mph...take foot of gas...slowly set brake controller by hand until you slow to around 25mph
Repeat these steps for around a dozen or so times. This will break-in your brakes for smoother operation in the future.

It has worked for me with my last 2 units...I have had no problems with my brakes. I believe I got this information from Lippert's site or perhaps even on here a few years back.

Looks great on your Driveway. So if you leave the furnace on, it will protect all the lines? Good to know. I'm excited to get mine. Already want to go camping, weather is all of a sudden perfect! Pickup on First week in May. Would like to hear about your trips to the black hills after you go. I've heard it's nice. A trek for us from NC, but that's why I bought a trailer!
Hey -- I found a good app for my iPhone. It's a trucker app but tells (among other things) the locations of trucker gas stations (Flying J, etc..) and much more info. "Truck Stops and Travel Plaza". It's $10 but I think well worth it. I've been concerned that I'd pull into a gas station that was too small and not be able to get out without extreme difficulty. Now I know where the larger stations are!

Well, not saying that its 100% guaranteed to protect it, but with it getting down in the low 20's I wasn't going to take a chance. So I left it on 60 degrees overnight and opened up the cabinets to allow warmth to as many lines as possible, radiant heat in the enclosed underbelly.

Good to know about that app. I found one for Pilot/Flying J on their website, just need download it. I'll check out the one you found, for $10 if it gives me other options that would be good.

Well we took our new trailer and truck on its first voyage together to Evergreen Park RV Resort just outside of Mt. Eaton, Ohio. Easter weekend couldn't have been nicer with sunny blue skies and cool nights. It was an awesome experience with some learning moments along the way like how small the grey tank is (had it closed for a while just to see how long it took to fill up). Plus, with these tanks it looks like it is paramount that the coach is level side to side. We were on a slight lean to the slide out side (side where the tank drain is) and the sensor never told me I was even 1/3 full at any time. We didn't forget too much except salt & pepper for cooking.

Anyway, the Ram pulled it fine. Got 11.2 mpg on way out, 10.6 mpg on way back (15-20 mph headwind). So far, so good.

The factory numbers on the frame come off with a little bit of paint thinner. I washed mine off this weekend when I was touching up the surface rust that had formed since delivery.

Looks like a great setup, we have had ours home loading it up the past two weekends but won't get to make our first trip for another three weeks.

The methods in this post for breaking in Brake Controllers are interesting. I'll post my results once I get my ST in two weeks.

Don't forget to lower your awning 1 hole on one end and 2 holes on the other to let rain water run off the lower side. Never leave the awning level.

Looks good! Our 2012 had a very small grey tank...bummer yours does too.

Also, You can tilt power awnings using the friction knobs since there are no holes...just MAKE SURE you release knob before trying to roll up! Also, if your power awning has automatic rollup feature (wind/rain), don't tilt and tighten knobs.

MidOhioHunter has a Carefree awning and they have 6 adjusting holes on each arm with push pins. Awning can be rolled up with awning 1-2 holes offset . Contacted carefree and asked them , and I do it with no difference.

Nice looking outfit. My black and gray sensors have never worked. Always show a 1/3. Seems to be a common problem industry wide. Not really necessary. Never had the black full. You do have to practice water conservation for the grey with dishes and showers however.

I honestly don't know. I have heard that can be done, but does not last long. They are notorious industry wide for not working or being inaccurate.

Pretty easy fix I have heard, they are covered by warranty and if not working should be replaced.

Thanks guys...I am old school jones with manual awning, and haven't seen a power unit with "holes" for tilting. Didn't think any had them.

It is easy to get at tank , unscrew screws on edge of coroplast and slice the coroplast from side to side and you will see tank. Look inside after you unscrew and pull down a bit to make sure there are no wires laying there.
There is NO insulation there.
