Hello
Just wanted to caution everyone that the size shown on the pictures is what I bought, but found it did not fit. I am not sure how this person in the video got two boxes that size to fit as it shows a height of 5.625" (on side of box) which for two boxes is 11.25 ". My storage area only has a height of 11" so the two boxes at 5.62" each did not fit. My bad for not measuring my storage cubby BEFORE purchasing. I wonder if perhaps the box on the bottom is smaller? Anyway I recommend everyone measure first and buy what fits that. That is what I have now done and have two containers on order that should fit.
That is odd. Here is the video and look at the 3:35 minute mark and a close up at 13:36, where he starts with the cubby hole usage.
See if you can figure why yours doesn't fit.
Nothing yet. I had ordered some that should fit from Grainger but they failed to arrive and I was just told that they were on back order with no date for when available. I have tried to find other ones that fit and am having no luck. Everything is on back order. Will keep looking.
Curious what you ended up ordering ?
I have searched, including Grainger and there seems to be a lot of confusion on size and dimensions at other vendors. Sterlite boxes tend to be much higher. Best I find is this:
Rubbermaid CleverStore - 60VZ25 - 16 QT - 18.75 x 13.375 x 5.625
Rubbermaid CleverStore - FG3Q22CLMCB - 15 QT - 16.875 x 13.375 x 5.5
Is there anyway that if you slid the bottom box in first then took the lid off the top box and slid it in, then put the lid back on, both 16 qt would fit ?
I had ordered Rubbermaid CleverStore - FG3Q22CLMCB - 15 QT - 16.875 x 13.375 x 5.5 but Grainger said a week after they were due in that they were on back order with no date available. I looked elsewhere and they are on back order everywhere I looked. I tried the Sterilites and they were too tall. My cubby is barely 11 inches tall by 14 wide and 18 deep (with pipe in the way). This is turning out to be a bigger issue than I expected. Looking now at getting a single tub that fits and putting the two water hoses, fittings and filters in that. I built an outside container for the sewer hose and elbow so that is not inside. Thanks for your assistance.
Hi - Curious where at Grainger you found the 15 qt tote as I can only find the 16 qt tote ?
I think I will plan on getting 2 of each and see what combination works best.
I beg to differ, but that is also part of the dilemma. I see the 16 qt offered but with a 15 qt label, and vice versa. The model number of RMC16000, designates the 16 qt unit, which is much longer around 18 some inches.
What a mess.
I just received my16 QT CleverStore totes and they stack to 10 and 1/2".
I bought from Lowes, although they mis-labelled the dimension of height as 6.625, instead of 5.625. Same at Home Depot.
Yes the lids are recessed making the bins stackable. You have to use that recess to make them fit past the lip of the opening. Once in, I still have some space for a flat piece of 1/4" Lexan I carry as well.
