We have a 2016 Thor ACE 29.3. The "chrome" is peeling off of the outside mirrors. Has anybody had any luck re-doing them or do they just need to be replaced? If replacement is the only option, will new mirrors work with the older wiring, electronics etc in the coach? Thanks in advance.

I had that happen. My RV Tech was ordered two parts that had the chrome peeling and replaced them A heck a lot cheaper than new mirrors and much better looking than painting them. I purchased covers for my mirrors and keep them unless we are using the motorhome.

I have the same problem. Do you know what parts your tech ordered? Did you just get the parts that the mirrors sit on?

The Velvac Mirrors are made of up different segments which can be ordered as separate parts. Top right of their website allows you to search for parts. Find you mirror model and look it up. My tech was very familiar with how to identify my mirror and order the parts. Motorhome / RV | Velvac

I have, no exaggerating, 130 cans of spray paint.
Picture proof tomorrow.

Krylon if you need a fast dry paint. It's my preferred paint.

If you want the very best over the counter paint use the above link.
But you need somewhere dust free due to a three day curing time. Put the painted parts in a HD bin to cure dust free. Marvelous for things you look at. I just painted the power strip on my rolling tool box. It's very hard and durable and highly pigmented.

Rustoleum if you don't know about the other two is...a resort to a lesser.
Only if I'm forced do I use Rustoleum for color work.

Consider trying the linked below. There are 1000 youtube vids as a guide. There is even a chrome version.

It's cheap and easy and fun and forgiving.
I do small parts like mirror heads and drawer fronts and such.
The color goes all the way through so rocks and bugs can't do it harm as they do harm to paint.

Did you know there are spray paint collectors?
