Wife and I have both test driven a 2018 Thor Quantum RQ29 and love it. Anyone else have one? If so, what are your thoughts on this MH?

We don't have the RQ29, but do have a 17 WS31. Like the added features in the Quantum, but am not happy about Thor's build quality. This is our 5th RV an the lowest build quality we've encountered.

If you like it I’d say go for it! That said, ricpe has a point. There are likely to be assembly related issues requiring your attention after purchase. Probably they won’t be serious and once fixed you’ll likely get good service for many years. It’s important to do a good predelivery inspection and to then go have fun.

On your pre delivery inspection, make sure to open everything, take drawers out and look inside with a flashlight, and demand the dealer do his job in cleaning up the mess left in the assembly. That way you can actually find issues as they arise. I agree with Pete. If you like it go for it. Just make sure you really know what you are getting...and have fun

I purchased mine in Dec 2018. It was used and supposedly traded in a few months later for a bigger model. I found notes in the paperwork made by the previous owners of things that were wrong. some were still not fixed with our purchase. But we are having them looked at and love our RV just the same. Travels nice over the Rockies and passes.

We have a 2017 25 foot Quantum.

We are very pleased with the layout and ergonomics of the rig. We also like the better quality cabinet fronts / finish. The main short coming for us is the bathroom is a bit tight on all levels but you may not have that issue on a longer model.

I very much agree that the build quality from THOR is (in our case at least) is poor. We love our rig except for the many many large and small issues we had to repair during our first year and a bit beyond.

I agree that finding as many issues up front as possible and having them repaired before delivery would be a huge step toward overall satisfaction.

Our Quantum rw28 is going back to the dealer tomorrow for the third time to fix a few items. Hopefully this will be the last time. But with the terrible quality control, poor dealer service, we still love our Thor.

3Rd time is a charm they say. I asked to have a look at the levelers as they appear to be about 5" from the ground . Not much clearance. nothing they can do about them. but now I can't turn off the panel power. so back it goes.
