I have a 26 SI 2017 and just had a tire blow out 205/14 inch .
These are the original Chinese made tiress so I want to replace them with 15 inch tires .
What is the best 15” tire to purchase?
Thank you.

I have ran Goodyear and Carlisle tires for years with good results. Just curious what is your reasoning for wanting the 15" verses the 14" that the manufacture calls for.

I need new rims so I would prefer a little larger rim and tire .
Better load rating and from two ply to eight ply.
A little more clearance also .
Thank you for your info .

Like dagst1 I have run both Goodyear Endurance and Carlisle (now branded as Carlstar, I believe) with great results. I believe I've had fewer problems with the Carlisle/Carlstar tires than Endurance, but overall I've had excellent experiences with both over thousands of miles.

I blew one out on the way home last Sunday and I searched and researched for days before ordering new tires today. After some research I’ve decided to move up to a commercial tire so I can get 14 plys. I discovered that I’m right at the upper limit of a 10 ply tire hauling my 40ft monster (and they don’t make many 12 ply tires), so I’m moving to 14 ply. The new ones will give me almost 2000k leeway of weight per side.

I say all that to say this, do your research and know how heavy your camper is fully loaded, because even best tire out there won’t hold up if it’s maxed out its entire life. Also, dips, bends and curves in the road shifts weight from side to side and can actually put some tires over their weight. Lastly, you can go up in plys with little to no effect on your ride as long as your wheels can handle the pressure requirements.

FYI, I’m going with Hercules tires because they had a highly rated commercial option in my size and they are not made in China. As you probably already know… Stay away from the China junk! I’s not easy to do because there are a lot of China brands on the market, seriously there are like 10 China brand tires for each American brand. Oh, a most American brands are NOT made in America, they are made in places like Vietnam or similar with components made/produced in America. Oh and I discovered that there are a one or two American brands that also have tires made in China, so always confirm the tire origin by looking on the sidewall and send it back if it’s made in china.

Good luck!

Goodyear makes a commercial tire. 614G as I remember, 16 inch.

But, they are expensive. $500 each. What the commercial guys use.
