I have a 2015 Lincoln brand new. The camper will not keep cool in 90 degree heat. I have tried to get Rushmore to fix the problem for 2 weeks with no luck. Can anyone out there help me solve this problem? Thanks for any ideas.

I'd definitely say that there is a problem. I've been living in mine since June and although there have been a few times where it could have done better, mine has faired ok in Savannah and now in Alabama. Although, if you read the A/C owners manuals it says that your main A/C, assuming its a 15K will only cool about 15-20 degrees cooler than ambient outside and your secondary, assuming 13.5K will only cool 10-15 degrees cooler than ambient. I've read a lot about excess ducting and careless routing causing problems so that may be an issue as well. All in all, keep hounding Lincoln until they make it right. We pay too much for these things for problems like this out the door!

Ok, Rushmore told me today that they are done. Camper is within spec, sorry not their problem.

Rushmores answer was that local tech stated all units splits were in spec, no leaks through new windows, so nothing they can do. Warrantee will not cover unit because everything is in spec. Too bad that it doesn't cool, it isn't their problem.

Also they stated local tech told them that we had a portable ac that keeps camper cool, so there is no problem with camper. Wife called them said that camper with sams club floor unit with air hose out emergency window with blankets and sheets to cover window and ac sitting on couch was not acceptable. Service rep said he understood, but Rushmore will not fix camper because it is in spec and therefore there is nothing they can do. Rushmore offered to pay for portable unit and $200 for the local rep. Local camper/ac repair rep said they have never worked with any other camper company that did not direct them to fix the problem and then let them know what it took. Rushmore had local rep take ac temp splits, check for crushed ductwork, check for large leaks in windows, verify insulation is in unit. But they will not authorize local techs to fix problem.
Also Rushmore was very concerned that new unit sitting in open field could be the problem. I guess all of the other 200+ campers at same open field, new and old that have no problems keeping cool must have been designed with better cooling systems, tighter windows, better insulation. Not very impressive for the 200+ campers to ever look at a Rushmore in the future.
So I guess I am going to have to get someone to take both ac units off, replace the thermostats and try to resolve the problem. This will probably cost me around 5k or more. I think that is probably a good deal on a 60-70K camper.
Sorry, just letting off steam.
Any help would be appreciated from anyone who has had a serious problem with the camper that Rushmore was not willing to help resolve.
Thanks.

Pm sent...call me..tomorrow.. I help TDR (TONY) on here. He has a Rushmore built a week after mine. Same A/C issues.

Well I chatted with Mark yesterday. Sounds like its mixing the return air with the cold air. Again no quality control. Even at the Redwood plant. Nothing ever changes. Just push the 5th wheels out the door. Working correctly or not.

So So True mine is still of saw dust.
OK they drag them out. ( with a trash truck)

go to home depot and get the 120 volt window dripless a/c with a rectangular port that goes through the window with a tight fit….from 300 to 600 sq. ft. unit…price, is from about $300 to $500…it WORKS!, but, hurry, these are seasonal items and as of 3 days ago the inventory was shrinking FAST!…hope this helps!…..

Talked to techs a week ago. They said they'd call us back. Guess what no call. Called today, person was busy in meetings. I'be had this answer at least 3 times now. I believe their goal is to never be available to address problems. Service said they would call back tomorow, so I'm waiting.

You must call EVERY day at 5:30AM pacific time
Then you can talk to a real person
I know this for sure I been calling every day since march 3rd
Finally getting somewhere
