Replaced Axxera with an IYing (yes, it’s an Android). I’m having difficulty integrating with the stock rear camera.

Does the pink trigger wire come from the multiplexor or is it tied into a harness tapped into the reverse and turn signals?

It comes from the camera multiplexor. The reverse and turn signal triggers feed into the multiplexor.

Thanks. I’ll keep troubleshooting

On our 2022 Quantum built on a 2021 Ford E-450 chassis the camera multiplexer is after market installed by Thor. I believe the reverser trigger wire is Blue.

Ok, here’s my latest:
1)- Trigger wire connected, Parking Brake (P:cool: wire connected
- PB engaged
Camera not triggered by R or TS.
-PB off
- Automatically displays rear camera, TS trigger change in camera. Unable to change display on head unit to use.
2) -Trigger wire disconnected, PB wire connected
-PB engaged
Camera not triggered by R or TS
-PB off
Camera not triggered by R or TS
3)-Trigger wire connected, PB wire disconnected
-PB engaged
Camera not triggered by R or TS
-PB off
Automatically displays rear camera as #1 above.
4)- trigger and PB wire disconnected
PB on or off
Camera does not trigger
In all cases, the rear camera app on head units works and changes view with turn signals

What am I missing?
Any other ideas?
Thanks

Well, we're missing what multiplexer you're working with.
Is the parking brake connected to the radio or multiplexer.
"Trigger wire connected"? Which trigger wire? From what to what?

And, or course, what radio are you dealing with?

SWITCHER, 3 CHANNEL FOR ALL RVS REAR OBSERVATION SYSTEMS - Thor RVS-501
I am under the assumption that the parking brake is running through the multiplexor since it was running with the trigger wire, separate from other wires
I thought the trigger wire comes from the multiplexor. It is connected to the camera trigger wire on the head unit. The parking brake wire (assumption) is coming from the multiplexor and is wired to the radio.

That is the Rear View Safety 3 camera switcher. There is no parking brake associated with it. You have
12 VDc Power (+ and -) wires
An input trigger wire for each camera (3 total)
An output trigger wire to the radio to trigger the camera view.

Here is the manual:

Realize that Thor may have changed the color scheme of the wires connected to the switcher.

Bob,
I apologize , I thought I had responded to you. Yes, I did look at it prior to discovering I have the 501 not the 501N. I did not try to determine the difference of the “N”. Thank you for sending that to me.

I think they are all 501N. I believe the N stands for North American sales market.

rvs 501n vs 501n-3

I'm trying to troubleshoot why my 3 cameras all are showing "No signal". I ran across this switch box and learned the difference between 501n & 501n-3 is that the 501n-3 has an additional rca port which on newer mh's connects a single cable to the radio. I'm still trouble shooting mine and it appears I have no power going into the 501n-3. However I can't trace the wiring harness because of all the wires under the dash. I've checked fuses in fuse panel by the engine and the breaker panel in the coach near the converter. I've contacted Thor and they have no wiring diagrams for the radio etc. If any one has any suggestions it would be very much appreciated. At this point I might have to bite the bullet and take it into a dealer but I'm afraid they might not be able to figure it out it either.

Spend $35 and get a wire toner/tracer before going to a dealer.

Just learned this from RVS:
501N is a switcher used for RVS monitors.
501N-3 is used with nonRVS monitors.

I think that is backwards. By THEIR manual the 501N has an RCA video out (universal output). The 501N-3 does not.

Ha! Goes back to one of my posts about taking what you get from a tech support person and bouncing it iff this forum!

I finally got it figured out.
The parking brake and reverse wires were taped together and deep in the dash. They way were taped together in such a way the wire labels were visible, but hard to tell that I had the wires crossed. The parking brake was going to the camera trigger wire to the radio and the multiplexor trigger wire was going to brake wire of the radio. That’s way it immediately went to the rear camera upon releasing the parking brake.
Once I made the switch, all worked as expected.
Thanks to everyone for providing assistance.
