Hi folks.
There are rounded painted flexible plastic strips that run the length of my MH on either side of the roof. They cover the joint where the wall meets the roof. It looks like one of them was beginning to come off at the back so the previous owner put a couple of pieces of tape there. He passed away without doing a proper fix and the piece came almost completely off during my 200 mile trip home from buying it.

The strip kind of fits into a channel where the roof and wall meet at 90 degrees but it doesn't exactly click into place. You can push it in and feel it seat but it doesn't stay. I didn't see any glue/cement residue but that looks like what is needed to properly reattach. There was no caulk or soft strip underneath.

The pictures are crappy because I was just going to have my RV guy go out there but if you have ever done the repair you will know the channel and strip I am talking about.*

Can anyone tell me how it was affixed from the factory? Is there a glue made specifically for this application? I would have to fix a break but it looks like I could re-use the old one, but is there a chance I could order a new piece from Thor that would be the cleaner*fix? Does this strip have a correct name?

Thanks for any responses.

As far as I know there is no glue other than the silicone they apply on the border, outside.
This piece should be a kind of D or C shaped which ends fit in the track where it came from.
Just put them back, seal with silicone (top and bottom) and at the end you can use some superglue if originally it didn't have a screw...

That strip is a vinyl material that fits into the channel. There is no glue. You should be able to measure the width of the channel and buy replacement strips. It comes in rolls and different colors. They have it on the jungle site for around $30 for a roll of 100 feet.
