Having trouble understanding the water bay heat. When the thermostat engages I hear a pump running in the AquaHot but in the water bay I don't hear a fan. I was once told the water and sewer tanks have heat pads that provide heat to keep the fluids from freezing. If that were true, why would a pump on the main unit run ? Also I watched the amp draw on the 12V and it shows a quarter amp draw with the charger off. So I guess I'm asking if there is a heat register in the water bay like the one in the storage (basement) area. In the past I have found several fans wired backwards so I'm thinking if there is a fan forced register in the water bay it might be backwards as well. (but then wouldn't that force smell into the cabin?) Sorry I ask stupid questions.
Mike

You should have two heat registers in the basement
One is for the storage area and the other is just to the side or between the water bay. Two different thermostats and that is why the pump runs to circulate.

That is how my 42GX is outfitted and as far as i know none of the Tuscany coaches had heat pads under the tanks

Water bay heat AquaHot 400D

I put a meter on the fan wires from the AquaHot controller. Disconnected it showed resistance on the line. Testing the output voltage from the control board it showed 13.3v output. I then hooked the output wires going to the fans to a regulated power supply outputting 13.8v and set the amperage to 5 amps. The power supply showed no amperage draw. Reversing the leads still no amperage draw. I'm confused that the meter showed resistance on the line but the power supply at the correct voltage showed no amperage draw.
Gaining access to the register in the water bay will require me to remove several panels. Not something I am looking to do.. I then hooked all of what I disconnected back and set the thermostat to run heat to the water bay. I then put a wireless thermometer in the water bay, towards the middle of the bay thus returning several hours and the temperature did not change.
Time to call factory service ? UGH I'll wait for replies on here.

Bad Thor Upholstery Replacement

As we all know mid 20’s coaches have the flaking upholstery issue. I found a local shop to replace all of mine at what I thought was a great price. They said they could do it in 2-3 weeks so I gave them the coach, a deposit and picked out the material colors. It turned into an absolute nightmare. Took almost 3 months, was not completed properly and one of the front seats upholstery is crooked. I expressed my dissatisfaction and the guy handed me the bill. He had literally tripled the price he quoted me. So in the end I got a fk’ed up job, over billed and the cops came out. I naturally refused to pay so he called the county police who came out and told him he could not hold my coach for ransom and that it was a civil matter. I blew $2200 by giving him up front cash. He will never win if he takes me to court as he said he would because I paid what I actually sighed for, no more no less. But now I have to have part of it redone. I have noticed with some scum type people when you show them your RV and want to pay to have something done they decide you can afford to pay more so they try to overcharge you. This guy waited until it was (not really completed) to try to bilk me out of over $6500. Be careful out there folks. :thumb:

My water bay register is between the frame rails just to the front of the bay and the main neater is centered in tween the rails in the next bay. Sounds like they must have improved it a bit.

Wow, Mine are in need of repair. I'm so sorry you wandered into the wrong place. How disappointing. I'm planning on having mine done this summer. I just haven't found a place to do it around Atlanta or FLorida.

sounds like a lot of repair people out there. I also need upholstery work done. That flaking is getting worse on mine and looks bad. I'm thinking about shops in red bay alabama. I have been told they work on Thor MH's and not just tiffin.
Today I need help locating the ground fault resets. I have two plugs that have no power with stickers on the front stating they are gfi supplied from other locations. The two plugs are (1) in the kitchen and (1) in the living area. Both are in the front driver side slide. Neither have the reset buttons. In the bathroom I have a plug with the test/reset button that I have pushed. Another is in the back basement passengers side. Both I have pushed the test and reset but the two plugs I'm having trouble with don't pass power. I have also reset each breaker in the breaker box. Anyone know of other places to look ? 2015 40KQ

It is not unheard of for a GFI outlet to just go bad. I've had to replace a house GFI outlet - the outlet itself worked but it didn't pass the electrons on to the outlets downstream.

Agreed.. I did have a common come louse a while back but I'm sure I fixed it well. Might be time to get the meter out and go looking. It's getting exhausting keeping up with all the repairs or I'm getting lazy. Thanks for the reply.

Hey Buddy! What wires did you check the resistance through? Meaning, how many wires are coming out of the fan, and how did you check them?

Can you post a photo of your basement register, that is sure different than my 16 that is just atttached to the rails in the ceiling. Your test don't make sense but first do you have hot water going to the register? Many of the registers had sensors, snap switches that had to close on temperature rise before the fan operated.
