I have a 2016 Tuscany XTE. All 8 of the overhead speaker brackets/rings have cracked and fallen on the floor (just the ring, not the speakers). Thor sez I have to replace the entire ring/bracket/ and speakers to replace the poor quality plastic rings, at $80 + a pop.

All the speakers are fine. The broken rings are a terrible eye sore.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Tuscany speakers/bracket rings

I have enclosed the pics. It is not a simple replacement, unfortunately.

Look at it for a moment.
Consider multiple things that look similar.

There are 100+ ways to get a new and easily installed cosmetic fix.

I'd suggest you not thought-strain and just buy the replacements Thor offered you.

I have a 2016 Tuscany 42GX with 8 speakers. A white ring containing the speaker grill snaps on over the housing.

What happened to yours besides normal wear and tear? Mine all look as they did back in 2015 when I bought the coach.

They have never been touched or removed. They slowly crack and then fall on the floor. I have no idea why..

Can you post a pic of the opening where the speaker mounts?
If it is a clean round opening, may I suggest going on Sonic or Crutchtfield Electronix websites they have the complete replacement speaker in various sizes with the mounting hardware for a whole lot less than $80 a pop.
We replaced the Thor factory installed speakers with JVC speakers at around $70 a pair.

Thank you. I will give it a try.

You’ve now got reason to purchase some good speakers. Why not just replace the speakers (Axxera?) with something decent.

thats NUTS
mine are tight and hard to get off
third amazon or a normal store

I had the same problem with the speakers in my 2015 Tuscany XTE. I replaced all the speakers for about $120 from Amazon. Much easier and less time consuming than trying to make and install new housings. The reason the speaker housing cracked in the first place was because the armatures that hold the speaker up against the ceiling were too tight putting too much pressure on the housing. When you replace them make sure not to over tighten the screws on the armatures and they should last much longer.

You can try gluing the speaker ring (GRILL) back together. However, that may not work due to the stress of the grill ring on the speaker itself. I would suggest finding a business that specializes in mobile audio installation. They may have grills that may fit your speakers.
