Usual Seat Wear

They use, all of them, because it’s cheaper and usually lasts past the warranty. I was lucky with my Newmar that it failed within 6 months and was replaced under warranty. Just because a thing is expensive doesn’t mean it’s high quality!

FYI thor uses Sikkens Paint, very high end paint. Once again, the fabric was used by many, many manufacturers.

I bought my used 2014 Ace last year, 5k on odometer, interior was perfect except for seats and sofa...peeling like a bad sunburn. Talked to a dealer about it and he said without looking assumes seats will need to be replaced on these thor models.

Your not alone. It seems most Thor have crap for upholstery. I had both captain chairs and dinette recovered. ( Thor Ace)

I have a 2018 Aria 3401 and (so far) the seat material looks good. What kind of conditioner do you sue? I doubt it is real leather so I am hesitant to sue leather conditioner. Use vinyl conditioner? Thanks

I've never used its but a lot of people recommend an appropriate 303 Protectant.

I use Aerospace 303 Protectant on my Ultra Leather as well as all the patio furniture

Luckily mine are Ultra Leather and not the Chinese imitation found on a lot of RV furniture. 7 years of use and they look brand new

Same 303 on tires and wheels plus black trim

They have a great lineup of products for detailing

Vehicles all get Aerospace Leather treatment on seats

"Ultraleather is a trademarked brand of polyurethane synthetic"

The dairy association was successful in removing the word "milk" from all the plant based alternatives. The word "leather" should be banned in the same manner. If it didn't come off the a** of a cow, it shouldn't be misrepresented as a leather product.

So, plastic CAN legally be called leather as long as it looks like it. Interesting. Buyer beware. After 4 years with the Chateau my seats started slightly flaking. It was the last straw in the "trade it now" scenario. I've been called an SOB a lot in my life but never thought I really would be one.

Well in theory I sure agree, leather should be leather.

We buy and have for years only top grain leather furniture and it lasts plus it is low maintenance. Same in the vehicles, only leather seating for ease and longevity.

The theory behind the Ultra-Leather was/is you only have to wipe it down as needed and no treatment is required. I treat it anyway out of erring on the side of caution.

Read the same article, milk isn't necessarily milk. Kind of like the new world you are what you think you are.
