Waiting for Redwood 38Fl in Colorado

I would love to see your photos of the Redwood 38FL after your prelim walk thru. The Windish RV Sales Manager attended a walk thru of this coach on Monday and forward some pictures from his cell phone that I would also be glad to share if anyone is interested.... and.... if I can figure out how to transfer them from an email to this forum. ?????

Hello Everyone,

My wife and I just returned home from our trip to the Redwood factory. As promised, I stated I would share info with you the progress on our 38fl. I wish I had good news for you but things didn't go as planned.

Long story short, we will not be taking delivery of the unit we were shown. After a short very productive conversation with key leadership staff at Redwood and our Dealer the decision was made to build us a new unit from the ground up. Of course we will be watching very closely the build progress on a weekly basis along side Key leadership to ensure the unit comes off the line correctly this time. So we will be starting the wait all over but I think it will be for the best. We also feel Redwood is doing what it takes to make this right. Most notedly making sure the 38FL does have a fireplace. Today it does not. Again, we'll keep you informed on our progress.

What happened that they are building you another unit? Very glad to hear they are working with you.

New Build

In trying to fix things like getting the fireplace into an already built unit would require quite a bit of retro-fitting and other issues that needed to be addressed that would require retro-fitting. My message to the team I am working with hasn't changed "Get it Right or don't ship it".

The last thing I wanted to see with a brand new floor plan was for my dealer to have to fix things that should of and could be addressed by the factory before shipment. That was the whole purpose of traveling to the factory to see the unit before shipment. While it was a pain in the butt to do this it was well worth the time money and energy.

We really feel we now have the whole team on the same page. More importantly as the end customer I am more confident in that we'll have a quality build personally inserting ourselves in the process.
