Anyone get stackable or side by side units from the factory..If so,what brand did they use and what size units are they

Thanks, Royce

I ordered the side-by-side Washer/Dryer optionfor my RL. I was considering putting them in myself later, but Redwood does not install/paint the dryer vent or mark the location unless you have them installed on the assembly line.
Supposed to be Splendide ARWXF129W Washer & matching 110v TVM63X Dryer. Nice Quality. See www.splendide.com for specs.

Yea that bothers me a little. I really think $1800 is too much for that equipment so I elected to wait for the laundry equipment. I wish I could get them to install the vent for the dryer so it could be painted the same. My son used to be in the car painting business, I guess I'll have to buy him a paint gun and let him paint it to match if I can figure out exactly where it goes.

The best price I could find on the top model Splendide was $1645.00. I figured for $155.00 more the factory could install the W/D and the dryer vent and paint. not worth the hassel and expense for $155.00.

Plus if the factory installs the washer and dryer they will install the mounting kit that locks the washer dryer in place as to most dealers do not and like Lilly putz said its not worth the 155 dallor savings and then to have it installed by someone.

We've just ordered the Vented Combo Washer/Dryer as it's been working fine with our Montana, hope to be able to put our small freezer in the extra space next to the washer/dryer so it does have to be in the basement or outside.

another reason to be part of this site. Thank you mhs4771. I never thought about a small freezer in the space next to the washer/dryer area. We will be doing that.

yea, even with the bigger fridge, you're still limited on freezer space. So we got this one before we headed South for the winter and stocked it up with frozen foods (some things you can't get in Florida)from the big freezer at the Stick house.

We had our 36RL plumbed for the washer dryer with the idea that we could add it later if we really think it is necessary. Plan to use the extra space for storage or pantry spaceinitially. I really like the idea of a small freezer in the washer/dryer closet. That's a great idea.

A small freezer sounds like the way to go - especially since the icemaker takes up so much of the freezer space. We didn't order the icemaker in the 12 cu/ft fridge because of that - and, becauseI didn't think"tankwater ice cubes" sounded that appetizing... even with the filtration. Guess I'll use bottle water and make them the old fashion way.

I really love the idea of the freezer in the w/d area. My question is do you have to secure it down for travel, and if so HOW?

Since we're getting the Combo Washer/Dryer and the size of our freezer, we'll have to shoehorn the freezer in and once there I don't think it will move much. It Traveled all the way South in the Basement and didn't move an inch. We'll really know more once we get our unit.

Could u order the LG and your freezer and have them expedite ship these items and see if the factory would install them for you while the unit is being built or is it too late for that?
