These unit do a much smaller load than one you would have in a S&B house. We do a small load every other day, couple pairs shorts, 4 t-shirts and underware. Much more and it won't wash right. Think of themminature size of you home units.

LG has a line of compact washer/dryer all-in-one ventless units. One, the WM3987 has a 22lb load capacity and should fit into the larger units(36+) without a problem and with factory modification could fit into the 34sk(according to the factory), but LG's 15lb load capacity WM 3455, which is only 24" wide and Only 25.25" deep, might be a better choice for the 34sk. These are very high quality units but are a little pricey, about $1500. We had a Splendide in our Motorhome and would not go that way again. We use LG Washer and Dryer set at home and are very pleased with quality/performance. We are going to go with the WM3455HW for our 34SK. The main caveat for these units is that they are ventless and dry clothes by a condensation process. The downside to this is longer wash/dry cycle, 2-4hrs. But if you don't plan to sit and watch your clothes wash and dry this shouldn't be a problem, just start the wash and go play golf, it will be finished when you get home..

I had a Spendide Ventless Combo unit in my last 5th Wheel and would not go either "ventless" or "combo"again. First, you have the extendedwash/dry time of the combo unit - you cannot start another load because yourfirst load is drying. Second, the "ventless" models take forever to "dry" your clothes (which never really feel dry). Plus, get ready for spinning at 1200rpm for at least an 1 to 11/2 hours as it "dries" your clothes.

For me, the separate washer/vented dryer makes the most sense - since the dryer is sitting against an outside wall anyway. I didn't want doing a load of wash to become a 4 hour event like it was before.

I think you are still going to have a long dry cycle due to the 120v input. You can't get dry times like you have at home unless you use 230v or propane. Both seem problematic to me. But to each their own.

We bought the FL at the toronto show. Best lay out for us. Didn't need a new rig as ours is only 3 years old. As I said, lay out and the fine workman ship sold me and the pantry sold my wife. We pick it up on May 8th.

If I had an RE/RL on order right now I check to see if there was still time to modify that closet to bring the 25" dimension out 2 or3 inches to give you a broader choice of W/D's. I'm working on mine now and was told they could modify it to fit the dimensions I sent them. For what it's worth......

Here is some food for thought: we have been full=timing since 2005 without a W/D. We enjoy the laundry detail as a together time and utilize the extra closet space. Again, to each their own - that is what keeps forums like this going.

There are some folks that don't mind the coin operated laundry. Personally I've done that a few times and would rather spend the money for the machines. But that's what makes this country great...the freedom to choose.

I would rather pay some one else to do it I personally hate doing laundry but my wife does not want some one else messing with it so to make it easier I bought the machines. This was some easy brownie points

My wife does, she won't let me near the laundry for fear of what would happen to it.
