On my 2016 Windsport 35c the hot water stopped heating on propane and ac shore power.Nothing can be heard igniting when you try to start. I just got propane but he filled it right to 100%,could this be a problem? But as both propane and shore power not working I am thinking electrical problems. Both water heater breaker and 2amp fuse in heater are good. Is there more I could check thanks Tux.

Yes in regard to propane volume, depending on how he defines 100%?

Is it 100% on tank? Not the same as showing Full inside.

My propane tanks never go over 80%, in fact I believe it will bleed propane if you try.

Lots of thing could be happening with propane heater, but sound like you may have combo heater and neither is working?

Does everything else in coach electric and propane work?

When was last time heater was used?

I once was on a trip and my all propane heater would not start. I read my manual and it said to push a reset button and presto it came on.

The other propane works stove and furnace I have a residential fridge. I could not see a reset on the heater. And the manuals have never given me much help.the gauge on the tank read full 100%.

Thanks for the replies but it looks like I got it fixed.I checked all electric connections on heater and there was a ground that was corroded so I just let WD40 sit on it. I then went and turned the main breaker off for 30 secs.i don't know which one was the fix .The oil may have made a good connection or the 30sec turn off may have done it. I will reclean the connections later.thanks again Tux.

You still may wish to verify if the tank is 100% full or not? May not be a deal in Canada but around hear first warm day depending on age of tank it could blow.

The gauge OUTSIDE is what you should go by. Professionals who fuel propane know this but since you said he filled to 100% it is just a safety question because we don't know who he is? Nothing else.

Thanks dk for the info the tank is down to about 3/4 or a little more now.i will watch the next refill I was not here when he refilled it.as for being to warm it does not get hot in Yuma does it ha ha.thanks again Tux

Great, I just don't won't you to blow up Canada :LOL:

Attached is my gauge and you can see where the Full indicator is 80%. But if the bleed valve is working properly when they filling you can hear and se it bleed out.

Now the odds of the tank blowing up is very, very minimal, but you don't want to be that guy based on what somewhat else does that you may not be sure about. I watch them every time. Good thing I only need to fill up about once ever 18 months.

Propane System Check

This is a good time of yr to test out all the propane systems on my RV. I turn on the propane valve, start up the generator and get the DC system running.

Next I prime the system by turning on the stove, l let those burners run for a few min and shut them off. Then I move to the propane heater, let the warm up the interior, then onto the refrig. I need to start that at least 3 times on the propane mode to get it running and not revert back to the red light, then I start up the hot water heater.

I walk outside and open the compartments of the refrig, and water heater and check the flame, then listen for the exhaust and heat coming from the RV heater.

I walk back inside to a toasty interior, hot water running from the faucet and then I shut it all down, turn off the propane valve.

All takes only a few minutes and when i need the systems to work on my next winter trip, all is running well...

Happy New Yr.
