I have a 2005 40’ Mandalay. I replaced the valve that allows city water or tank use because if on city water it would leak by and fill the on board tank. My question is even after replacing the valve it still leaks in to the on board tank. Obviously there must be another valve does anyone know where? I have looked at the tanks with the side door open but don’t really see anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Steve0

Just because the pump and valve are new does not mean they are "good". They can only be declared to be good after proving they are good.

Either one of them is not good or there is something else in your coach's plumbing system that is allowing the bypass to occur.

Our 24f also has a winterization shutoff valve between the pump and freshwater tank to prevent antifreeze from entering the tank. It's in the pex that draws water from the tank.

If yours has one it could be allowing backflow even if closed.

But it's not normally closed and it would be a good valve to close while troubleshooting to determine if the backflow is through the pump, or elsewhere.

It’s the “ something else in my coach’s plumbing “ that I’m asking about. I put a spare water pump in and same thing happens.

Any idea where I would find it without taking the tanks out to follow the pex tubing

Thanks

Quote the post you are replying to for continuity.

By "it" I assume you mean the tank isolation valve?

It is generally on the pump's suction side piping before the strainer and anti-freeze inlet stub piping. It generally has a silver handle and only turns 90 degrees.

Thanks everyone for the help it was indeed the water pump, the setting was to high once I adjusted it to the correct pressure everything was fine

Thanks again
Steve
