If you guys don't already have a water softener, I recommend getting one. We were tired of dealing with water spots on the shower enclosure and some of the campground's hard water left me itchy after a shower.
We got the RV-PRO 10,000 from Camping World and it's been working great. No more water spots in the shower or on our dishes and our clothes are softer too.
Today I washed the trailer and our black truck with the hose connected to the softener instead of straight from the campground tap and they both air dried without spots. Yeah!!!

I think it's $239.00 at Camping World. Tweety's has it for less though.
The nice thing is the fact that you recharge it with 2 pounds of table salt. </span>

Website is Aquagenesisusa.com. It is electronic conditioner which prevents and reverses scaling and was only $179 with great warranty and money back guarantee. Good luck!

I will have to say that we ended up getting the water softener that Steve had suggested. We love it! the glass shower now is easy to keep clean.

My house is supplied by a well and I purchased one of these electronic devices to try and I must admit it did nothing to soften the water. It was returned to store and I reverted back to the salt based unit. Has anyone else had any experience with these 'electronic softeners'?

Where in the system did you and Steve install the softener?

I have mine sitting on the ground right now because it simply has a hose fitting in and a hose fitting out. I'm planing on mounting the unit behind the service wall in the basement and drilling holes in the wall for the hoses.

Mine is sitting on the ground next to the trailer too and like Dave, I will probably mount it behind the service wall and add some sort of access door.
