We are new to this site,but not camping

We are Howard & Sherry & we are in the process of moving our 2017 Crossroads Zinger 43' destination rv up to Payson,AZ. It will be our permanet summer home to get away from Apache Junctions summers.
I have a simple question? How hard is it to take off the trailer hitch once we are set up in Payson? I'm talking about the entire hitch from the trailer & adding a 100 gallon
propane tank for the unit. We are even talkng about taking the tires off to drop the height so we can add a deck before snow fall. Looks like a easy job?

Not sure if the tongue is bolted on or welded on but if it is like a mobile home it can be removed. And you can remove the wheels and axles if you want to and set it on blocks You can do the work your self but if not comfortable with the job you could contact a mobile home company and have them set it up.

If it is going in a park the management should provide you with what they require as far as tie downs and skirting and the deck. If on your land you might check with the county for local codes.

I am curious as to what you would do with the hardware you take off the trailer assuming that you will be placing it in a campground as opposed to your own property...

Storage or if a mobile home co does they would take them and if you move it again they bring them back and reinstall. Also sometimes they drop the tongue and slide it under the camper. The wheels and axles can also be stored under and would be hid by some kind of skirting.

In the late 90s My parents had a "destination" trailer in Texas. It was in a campground but in a section for "snowbirds". They had a set of rules relating to the set up and maintenance of the campers.

Talked to the peope at Lamplighter rv in Payson where it is headed. No problem taking tires off,BUT trailer will have to be skirted. No problem there. We both over 70, so that is why we going there. Can't wait to see the elk that come down the hill & eat apples off the trees.
