I am getting ready to leave Kentucky in a few day to go to Alabama for 3 weeks. My 2014 Thor Windsport has been winterized by blowing air thru the lines. The high temperature will be in the 20's on the day I plan to leave. I would like to put some fresh water in it before I leave just to fill up the hot water heater and to have some water available for the two day trip. I could just carry some gallons on water with me and wait until I get down south but I really would like to check out the system before I leave. Any advice would be appreciated.

What will the "low" temperatures be? That's more important.
Do you intend to have the heat on in the camper all the time after you would put water in? How long would your rig be setting their with water before you left?
Do you have the heated, enclosed under belly?

I would not do it until you get into above freezing weather. Just no need to chance blowing a line that might not easily be reachable... and you know if you develop a leak, it will be in the most inaccessible spot.

The low temperature would be 22 and the high would 30. Adding the water would be the last thing I do before I leave. I will have heat on during the night before and during my departure day. I do have heated water tanks.

I plan on traveling to above freezing temps before I stop for the night. Thanks Lloyd.

I would think you will be OK doing it the way you have just described.
Have a good trip.
