Windsport microwave

Our 2018 Thor Windsport 28M microwave crapped out last week. Couldn’t find any relevant suggestions online and assumed it was off-brand low quality like most of the appliances. Looked online figured out that the “box” itself was standard size for NW under 2 cu ft. Luckily we discovered that Home Depot sells a house brand (made by GE apparently) Vissani. We bought the 1.4?cu inch 1000W model for under $200. The rear wall bracket was perfectly lined up. As there is no cabinet above the microwave, I did have to move the overhead steel bracket forward by 1/2” to properly line up the overhead screws that enable the top front to be connected- 6 square head screws. I had to Jerry rig a tool to remove the suspension screws as there’s on 3” of head space to work in.

You are blessed. Everything except the fridge has broken or failed in our 2018 Windsport: 2 ac motors, water heater, furnace, water pump, two toilets, microwave, two TVs, patio awning and awning bracket, shower floor cracked badly and had to rip out and reinstall the whole shower to install new pan. Fortunately the running gear has been reliable. We don’t use the stove as wife likes Air fryer and instapot. Good luck to you.

The over-the stove model microwave that came in the coach is a Whirlpool Model# UVM1160CW-6 Manufactured in Oct 2015. It draws 1800 watts; thus, an upgrade to a larger inverter than the Xantrex Pro 1000 which came in the coach.
