When I bought my RS36 last year I was very happy that it had navigation already installed and that I could use my Android Auto (via the cable with my phone), but I have two other cars with screens that are much bigger than the F600 that have wireless connections to head units and they provide a much nicer experience. So searching around, I found this video.
. I decided to do what this guy did on his F150 to my F600 and I love it. I did it about year ago (9/23/23 to be exact) and it works great. I'm not affiliated with the guy in the video (other than hitting the subscribe button on YouTube) nor the maker of the radio. It's not perfect, but I do love it. The only issue I have is that every once in a while, the screen will switch off of Android Auto. A simple push of a button get's me right back. The other issue is that when you put it into reverse, it wants to display a back-up camera that is not hooked up because I have the rearview mirror camera. There are some other cool things that I might do eventually like adding a camera to the front, but I simply did the basic install. The really cool thing is that you still have full access to the Ford SYNC system so you do not lose access to the settings and menus that are accessed through that. I'm only posting this incase someone wants something like this in their rig.
