Hello from Mt Vernon NY....

.....so wifey about to retire from USPS in about 3-4 years after our last son finishes college, giving her close to 40 years. I'm retired from law enforcement and we are dying to travel travel travel and no matter what rv's I look at , be it a class A, B or C, I keep coming back to the Thor Vegas 24.1. So my mission now is to do as much research as I can, ask as many questions as I can and get prepared to enjoy our Golden years.......

We love all the vegas floor plans.
As a matter of fact we are in Las Vegas now for massive fun and a Sting concert.
The 25.6 Floorplan allowed my wife site unseen to call MHSRV give a deposit, jump on a plane from Montana to Texas, and drive the beast back.
Great decision !
Good luck

Welcome aboard, enjoy the search
The 24. 1 is a great floorplan for two. We were looking at a 24.1 in 2018 when we bought our ACE 27.2. We got such a good deal on the ACE we had to pull the trigger. We still love that 24.1 floorplan just wish it was available on the E450 chassis again. Ford has upped the available HP & torque with the 7.3 V8, but IMHO Thor has limited the versatility of the 24.1 by sticking it on the smaller E350, 12,500 lb GVWR chassis. That extra 2000 lbs of GVWR (14,500 lb) on the E450 teamed up with the V8 would be an awesome rig!

Welcome to the forum! You will find lots of great info here from people who are knowledgeable and experienced. First of all, thank you for your service in protecting your community. Our LEOs are underpaid and overworked.

My husband and I purchased a Vegas 24.1 as our first RV. We wanted to ensure we enjoyed traveling and camping. Our Vegas served us well. We learned we LOVE traveling and camping! Our Vegas took us up to South Dakota and over to Yellowstone while towing a Jeep wrangler. After that trip we knew we were hooked on this type of traveling. It was bittersweet when we traded our Vegas in for a larger diesel pusher, but we both agreed we needed a larger bed, and a bit more room over all.

Just make certain to think of the things that are important to you. For us it was relaxing with our feet up, so we changed the sofa for recliners. That made a huge difference in our comfort! After that it was having a decent sized shower. There was nothing we could do about that. We do not regret purchasing our Vegas. It served the purpose of helping us to know if we enjoyed rving. You can park it practically anywhere, and state parks are no problem.

Good luck!!

Pam
