I'd check the "store" switch no matter what. I inadvertently hit my "store" button instead of putting the awning out. It was quick and I thought my finger had slipped off. A few days later my batteries were dead but the awning worked because I was plugged in to shore power. Now I'm very careful not to come anywhere close to the "store" button..........
