Shower will not get hot

Brand new 2021 Magnitude SV34. Hot water works great in vanity and kitchen sink. No hot water in the shower. The tankless water heater doesn’t light up when you turn on the water like it does with the sink. The photo shows what it looks like when the sink is turned on. This doesn’t happen when shower turned on. Click image for larger version

Remove the shower head to be sure there isn't any construction debris blocking the flow. Only turn on the hot water in the shower and no cold water to see if it turns on to heat up. Set the temp to above 105.

Good luck

Paul

Search for a thread that is titled Omni / Magnitude Likes and Dislikes. I posted some suggestions about how to deal with possible flow issues impacting the hot water performance.

Also try the water control in both directions in case it was plumbed backwards.

I agree: check for obstructions, and NEVER touch the cold water faucet.

Thanks all. There is only one controller for the shower so there is not even a way to only turn on hot water. Our dealer said maybe a “bad blend valve in the shower faucet”. IDK.

Try turning that faucet to "Full on hot" side, and see what happens.

Pull the point of the shower handle straight up then swing full left from 6o'clock to 9 o'clock position that will be full hot with shower head off see if hot water comes out of hose

Hello,
We had the same issue in our 2020 Four Winds (I'm guessing same tankless water heater).
After some research the water pressure needs to be at a minimum amount to activate it. The shower is further from wayer source than the kitchen (again, guessing).
Purchase a nice water pressure regulator that has a dial/meter, and that can be adjusted (about 70.00).
Should fix it.
Just don't leave yours at a campsite like I did and have to purchase another!Click image for larger version

Sorry, meant water, not wayer.
Also, forget to mention set it at about 45psi.

You need to set the water pressure to 55psi. Set the water temp to above 102 and only turn on the hot water to continuous hot water. As long as you have propane you will have hot water. If it gets too hot just barely turn on the cold to adjust it. Too fast will bypass the heater and send a ton of cold water into the shower.

Paul

When we had our Girard: we liked to set it at 106 degrees for the shower, and 110 for the sinks...
But everyone has their own comfort range...

Our Truma system works exactly like our shower at home. We can mix hot and cold until we get tired of playing with the faucets.

The girard we had in the Gemini, worked great. Once I got the adjustable pressure regulator and set it to 53psi, we had hot water whenever we wanted, and did not have any mixing problem with the shower. I set the girard to 120 and just left it there, as mixing hot and cold water was never a problem at any of the outlets, including the shower.
