Slide retracting issue

So the passenger slide on our Aria is always off just a little. The front is about 3/8 of an inch father out than the rear. When closing I can watch the front. It comes nice and tight to the body but then moves away a little. It is enough that I can push my finger past the gasket. Any ideas? Thanks

If you haven’t already. Make sure you are level. Open the slide all the way, and then close it again make sure and not to stop. Check for anything that could be in the way before closing.

I do that and that is when the slide actually moves out a little

My Aria has the same problem as yours on all three slides. Sometimes it just stops retracting or extending for no reason. It does seem to align itself somewhat if I retract and hold in the button.

Are you getting any error codes on the Controller?

There are two primary reasons why a slide will get out of sync:

1) The Extend / Retract Button is not being held 3 - 5 seconds after the motors stop every time.

2) The RPM feedback from one of the motors is not working properly such that the Controller cannot measure the RPM's of each motor so it knows how fast they are spinning so it can regulate them to stay in sync. This can happen if there is a pinched / broken wire or there is a problem with the RPM measuring circuit in the motor. If this is the case, it will usually throw a code on the Controller.

My P/S slide only: does the same. goes out about a foot and stops. I bring it back it and do it again. I took a closer look and it is the front lower corner that is end up a little further out. If I hold the in button for the 5 seconds the slide comes all the way in and then the front actually moves back out that little bit.

Clarification question. So if you don't hold retract an extra 5 seconds, does the lower front stay all the way in?

Got a couple ideas depending on your response.

Yes, I have to try to time it when closing. So I lift just as it sounds like it is about to stop but has not stopped. Does that make sense?

This one is a new one for me. Luck you!
Much better than its stuck out. [emoji846]

So many options where to go from here.

Could be a controller issue. You could try moving a controller from another slide to see if that corrects the issue.

Could try unplugging the rear motor at the controller then retract. From there plug rear back in and fully extend to sync.

Could try manual override at the controller and retract.

Could be a motor issue.

Very curious what you find. Fyi I am not an expert. Have learned a bit with my Thor Aria. Would call myself somewhat dangerous at this point. [emoji16]
