Furnace fan run off battery?

We have a 2018 Thor Chateau 24F. We are planning a trip this fall and we were going to be boondocking at times. Will the furnace fan run off the 12 volt deep cycle battery or do you have to have the generator running? We only have 1 deep cycle battery and no invertor.

It will run off the battery, but it takes a fair bit of power. If you have a single battery, don't expect more than a night, maybe two if it's not too cold, before the battery goes dead.

Look up the specs for your furnace to find the draw. e.g. our 34,000BTU input furnace, draws 118 watts at 9.8 amp to run.

Years ago I saw a number of overnight campers in Colby KS buying batteries at the Walmart as their single 12v gave out in the night

Go deep cycle and calculate how many amps you need

I added the Trojan T105 AGM's specifically so I could heat over night and still make coffee prior to generator time
