2022 Sequence 20L Water Filter Location

Just purchased this used Class B. Trying to de winterize the water system, including the water heater. Can't find the water filter. Any help out there?

Same model (Tellaro=Sequence) /yr and flloor plan I have- I have pdfs for winterising- so I will PM you with an email- files too large to post here.
To de-winterise, just reverse instructions. Hopefully the prev.owner winterised correctly...

Water heater gets special treatment, and water filter is under driver's side bed access panel towards the front. I recommend removing it and patching in a bypass hose, and use external filter. keep the pressure regulator tho. More details in my pdf.

Simple bypass shown here.

PRT valve on floor should be open, will need to close it after draining AF out of system.

Also I know two other 20L owners in Michigan!

20L Tellaro/Sequence de-winterise

I realised you wanted de-winterising procedure- so basics are:
1) connect to city water w/ pressure regulator- energise system
2) open low point drains on outside, just aft of LP fill valve, under body
3) purge until clear water comes out, close low point drains
4) open black & grey tank gates and cap, place tub under to catch
5) open taps starting at rear, flush toilet, showerhead, rear sink faucet, front sink until clear.
NOTE: Don't forget the rear spray, behind RR cargo door!!
6) open low point drains again until clear.

Fresh tank system:

7) Remove rear (side) panel in pass. side bed storage compartment, to find AF riser tube and fresh tank valve on dec behind panel (see pic- no need to remove bed support top- just lift hinged section)
8) Disconnect from city and reconnect to water fill (fresh tank) and fill tank 1/2 full or more
9) Open fresh tank valve (behind inner compartment wall of storage under pass. bed), rear of tank, on deck. Be sure AF riser is capped!
10) purge fixtures as before- Run until clear, and air is out.
11)Close PRT (yellow lever) valve, open H&C supplies to Truma, and close bypass. Open PRT valve for a few minutes, then close, then go to taps and open taps for hot water until air is out.

NOTE: if you want to sanitise fresh tank, close off Truma as it has sensors that can be damaged by Chlorine. Add 1/4c to tank and run thru all taps until you smell it- then let sit for 24hrs. Flush out after, make sure it's all out before re-opening the Truma.

If weather gets cold (at or below 32°F), open all compartments and use a small 750W space heater inside and keep at 50°F min. and be careful where you place and aim it!! OK to be plugged into shoreline to enable battery heaters.
Battery heaters will come on at 32° to keep at charging temps. 23°F is min. temp for storage for the ReLion batteries otherwise.

The Truma furnace/water heater can be used as a heater w/o water when bypassed. Just turn LP switch on (outside near LP fill valve) and use Truma control to turn on- read Truma manual- it takes some getting used to...
Final note- while doing all this- look and feel for leaks!!
Thor uses a lot of swivel fittings and can leak of too tight- rule is hand tight + 1/4 turn for those. If leaking, depressureise system and back off fitting, let relax for awhile, then re-install.
Electrical is also something to check- opposite problem from factory- too loose and arcing, so inspect all points for blackening, or loose terminals, including underneath at the batteries, buss bars, and components that they left under there for some stupid reason. I moved all mine up inside last year. Much easier to inspect and maintain. I have a pdf on that too... :-)

Mark,
I have a 2022 SequenceL. Had unit dewinterized and sanitized. Checking to be sure the water heater bypass valve is closed. Looking at your photo of water lines. Is bypass valve where a red line and a blue line connect?

Yes, red/green is bypass, and should be closed for in-use ops. H&C supplies to Truma should be open as well.

PM me for pdf if needed/wanted.

We found the water filter on ours to be under the bed/couch next to the sink. You need to use a screwdriver to access it.

I removed the water filters in both my 20A and 20L. I just filter before at the faucet outside.
Most forget they have it and it freezes and cracks, b/c they didn;t drain it.
I think it's an un-needed item, and never in a sensible location, or easy to access.

I suggest bypassing it with this assembly, or have a mobile tech re-plumb like my pic below, where I added a drinking water filter instead. (seen w/o cartridge hsg.)

This is in the 20L. The 20A has room under the sink to do this.

The 20A rear filter is nearly impossible to service as well.
