The E-Series uses what is technically an independent front suspension, but it’s not based on “A-frame” control arms like seen on some cars and some diesel pushers.
The E-Series uses what Ford calls Twin I-Beam. In design it’s closer to a solid I-Beam, but split in two sections so each wheel can move up and down independent of each other.
