It's a KIT.
I'll wager the same number of people who have had vinyl problems almost exactly match the number of people who tossed the sleeper and installed recliners.
An rv isn't a forever thing.
It's a base to change from base to custom.
If you're satisfied with the base, groovy.
But don't complain about the base.
Make it yours.
The insulation you wanted from the factory?
I'll bet only 1:10,000 coach owners have done the mod.
I'll bet that's how many who would opt for the extra insulation from Thor who would have to interrupt assembly to do it.
A hint to people who are contemplating but have not yet purchased:
There isn't a mod or luxury or upgrade mentioned anywhere in any thread in this entire forum which isn't available to you as an option.
Tell the dealer you want :
4wd
Extra ac units
$3,000 mattress
300lbs added insulation
360° camera
$4,000 stereo
Three awnings
That silly $10,000 aquahot system
Three alternators
30 yards of oxblood colored leather furnishing
Levelers and a redundant pump'just in case'
Built in compressor
Built in pressure washer
It's all available.
It was when you bought it, it is now after you own it.
Those who don't want the mods listed above didn't have to pay for them as standard. The expense is the same for the wanter, yet unspent by the unwanter.
Same with the counters. They're cardboard. Some here care, some don't. The volcano granite going in mine was free to me, $$$$ from the factory if Thor made built them into a base model.
