I had the same problem originally. I discussed it with my brother who is a Master Electrician and we decided to change out the GFI outlet in the half bath with a heavy duty commercial one. Got it at Home Depot and changed it about a year and a half ago and it has not tripped since. Everything seems to work fine and it still trips when I test it with a GFI tester as required.
