I went through the same decision making process as you are. There are pros and cons to both sides. I ended up with the Progressive 30a hardwired model mainly because it is out of sight and one less item to deal with during camp setup. One thing I didn’t consider, and this bit me last year, if your hardwired EMS fails, you have no power in your coach until you jumper around it or replace it. If your pedestal EMS fails you can just plug in without it.
