Bought a pack of "rare earth" / neodymium magnets on the 'bay. They have holes in the center and came with screws to attach them to the wall. I just clipped one to the metal counterpart that is supposed to latch on to the magnet.
They work really well to keep the cabinet closed. There are two settings of the original magnet which I left in place. One with the door a bit more closed, which holds it very strongly, and the other with a little gap, good for when you're stationary as it opens a bit easier.
They come in really handy for other things too, like sticking knives and cables and whatnot to the inside of cabinet doors.
