Axis/Vegas Spare Tire

From a previous discussion there are other Axis/Vegas owners who would like to carry a spare tire so that they will have one for AAA or Ford emergency service to mount for them in case one of their tires is destroyed. I found an easy, cheap (like free) way to do that. A spare tire without a rim fits nicely in the space between the fuel tank and the tow bar. I put a 1X2 under the tire and bolted it to the frame. There is a hole already drilled in the middle of the frame. I tied the tire to the sides of the frame, just to prevent it from shifting back and forth. To take the tire out, all that I will have to do is untie the two ropes, unbolt the piece of wood and remove it and the tire will fall right out.

I am not sure if a tire mounted on a rim and inflated would fit in the same space? Someone who wants to carry a tire mounted on a rim might want to try that.
