OK, I read this thread and tried all methods. If the seat was all the way back, it hit the side console when I tried to rotate. I then played with the rotate and the forward and back simultaneously but no matter what, the arm rest, even in the up position hit the steering wheel.

I then removed the arm rest as per above, rotate to vertical, push in and rotate to about horizontal the wrong way, then it slips out. then I could rotate the chair around until my legs hit the couch. (No Side slide on 25.2)
A lot better though.
