I have an Axis which has a smaller tire, so I don't know if this will work for your ACE with 22.5" tires; but I store my 16" spare tire under the rear of the Axis in the space between the fuel tank and the rear bumper. I take an unmounted tire so it is light enough to get it in and out relatively easily. I certainly would ask Thor if the roof is strong enough to hold a tire and how to mount it. I also wonder how you plan to get it up there and down if you need it on the road?
