In Feb 2016 we went to the Tampa RV show to look at upgrading to something just a little big bigger (under 30'). After looking at everything from 26-30', we decided that there was nothing that we liked more than our Vegas. In 2016, Thor added some significant improvements/changes to the Axis/Vegas that we really liked - including: new 6 speed transmission (great improvement), changing the bathroom heavy, double door to two single doors, improving the shower, and a new blond interior that we really liked over the dark wood. With the show pricing, I traded in a two year old coach with 24,000 miles for a new coach for less than $20k. Anyway, I was going to need new tires sometime in the future.
In addition, I had purchased one of the early 2014 Vegas when they were turning them out as fast as they could and me Vegas has lots of quality control issues. I was much more impressed with the fit and finish of the 2016 Axis. I thought it was worth it.
