for what it's worth, adding to my previous post...
I have no proof, but I'm convinced that the primary issue was fuel vaporization in the fuel feed line.
Increasing the cooling air helps overall, and helps the airflow over the fuel filter and pump
and getting my fuel line insulated and tucked out of the way of the furnace blast form the V-10, as well as away from the roasting hot blacktop just below helps with fuel vapor lock
