Heated tanks

2003 hurricane. Pads on bottom of tanks. Do they automatically turn off when they get hot/warm.
Fresh water tank in rear. Is it heated from a small furnace duct. There is a duct in a chase behind the toilet, going under shower, but does it go all the way to the water tank area, and just blow warm air in the area.,. Thanks for any info.

The pads are either on or off. They will keep the grey and Black water tanks warm to prevent freezing. The Fresh water holding tank will be warmed by the duct work and from being inside the insulated coach.

Might want to try finding out who manufactured the heating pads and if they include a temperature sensor. On my prior class C (non-Thor) the Arctic Pak (tank heaters) would not come on if the temperature was above 32 degrees F.

It was above 80 degrees the other day when I turned them on. Waited about 15 minutes, crawled under, an they did not feel warm. So, I'm thinking there may be a temp sensor .
