I have the same inlet fitting and it can be difficult to get tightened adequately. Is your leak on the outside or the inside? If it just leaks down the outside of the wall, first make sure you have the rubber washer (gasket) installed and that it is not damaged. Hooking a hose straight into the fitting can side load it and make it even more difficult to get tight. I use a brass 90° fitting at the inlet so the hose, and in my case the blue filter too, hang straight down parallel to and close to the wall. The plastic tightening ring is meant to be tightened by hand, but as a one time experiment try carefully tightening it a little more with a pair of Channel Lock pliers. If that stops the leak then you might have a damaged gasket, or are just not strong enough to tighten it.
If it is leaking inside the wall you may have other problems.
