ACE battery upgrade questions

Hey folks, I am dry camping more and I am looking to replace my factory batteries on ace 29.2 with two 6v (probably gc2 from SAMs) and looking to see if anybody has done this could give me any info. What fits the battery compartment, do I need any other equipment or can I just unhook the old batteries and replace? Any help appreciated. On the road traveling through Vegas and would like to pick up the batteries today. Thanks!

I know it can be done, but have no experience. try measuring the area
your current batteries take up and then go to Sam's and measure the
6 volt batteries for size.

Also remember that 6 volt batteries are wired in series different from
12 volt and will require new different cables.
