Has anyone installed a xantrex ws3012 inverter into a 24.1?
Xantrex not xanterra.
It's a monster. 7x9x15 or something like that.
65 lbs.
Under the driver side bed?
In the long skinny bin on the passenger side?
Where do you all suggest?
It's Already purchased along with the ags and the displays.

It's being installed today behind the interior 12v/120v fuse/breaker panel.
There's just enough room and it'll vent just fine. This makes for a very short 12v cable run to the batteries.
The control panel is being installed on the stair well/sink wall. We removed the folding counter extension and put that on the bathroom sink so it opens into the shower.

It doesn't look very big in the picture but that's a 73 pound inverter installed next to an outside vent.
It's on the inside of the passenger side wall right between the propane heater and the bulkhead wall between the fridge and stove.
Just a heads up as to an installation location.
(pictures were taken through that silly removable panel aft of the fuse/breaker panel)

Good job, How many watts is that one? 3000?
What house batteries are you running? We might have talked about this before but Im getting old and can remember who has what anymore.

While typing this I got a call from our Flagstaff/Bellemont cw, the doors close forever on Sunday. The 350 fuse didn't come in. I'm going to see if they have a closeout or display sale.
It's 3000 with a 6000 surge. It has150amp charger and is stackable to make it 6000 with 12,000 surge and 300amp charger. Programmable for lithium and ran through an ags. The ags will turn on the system when the ac thermostat tells it to or when the Batts are low or just to exercise the Gen on a schedule.
Batteries right now are two new cheap 12v, but I have twelve six volts deep cell that I'll be making a rack for(probably just six of them. 12 is a LOT of batteries). I already had the 6v when I bought the rv. When they crap out well go with two teslas.
The generator works well and we didn't need any of this... But it's a mod, and it's being done. I'm sure dollar-wise it was probably the dumbest $3,000 I'll spend on the 24.1
Just something to check off the list.
We really enjoyed a similar setup that came on our 19ft toy hauler.(we didn't pay for that. We bought a private party 2year old rv with $6,000 in solar and batt and inverter. Paid 2/3 of book and got the system for free. But we sure paid for this one, because of that one... So....)

Wow, 6 - 6volts will be awesome! But 12 is a bit over kill for such a small RV (IMO). You wont have any cargo space left over.... but you might be able to run your AC for a few hours?
Im waiting for the lithiums to drop in price. I bet in a couple of years they will be half price for a drop in battery. Maybe even less?
Once they come down to like $399 or even $499 for 100 amp hour Lithium drop in ....they will sell like crazy in the RV world (IMO).

An update and a picture.
All is well.
We wired the ac to the system so the inverter has to be on even if we're on shore power and want ac. It's an experiment that is just a matter of undoing a wire.
We removed the extendable table in the doorway and used it to place the first of many system monitors and controls there.
I post the picture because I made a bit of a mistake and the tech, instead of correcting me, just did it.
If you install the inverter along with an automatic generator starter, the ags controller (the one with the ugly wires) becomes redundant and can be hidden.
The tech cut all the wires, fed them through a small hole and mounted the controller exactly where I told him to. I'll cut a much bigger hole so I can get it BACK through that panel and hidden without having to whach wires.
Excellent work at my now closed forever cw.
Just a hint for anyone installing a xantrex and ags
The first picture is sideways.

thanks for all your thoughts, time, and efforts. what size wire did you run to your battery? my reading the chart shows 4/0 awg. and what size fuse did you put in that line? looks like 450a required.

I'll have to check the wiring size but it's at least 4/0.
The fuse is a 350 amp.
I'll take the silly fuse out and out in a $25 breaker just to neaten it all up a bit.
I'm going to suggest a breaker instead of a fuse.
The spare fuse I carry was a tough one to find.
