I heard that Lowe's is phasing out it's Kobalt line, so that is why the discount. Just sayin....

Speaking of Lowes/Kobalt--almost overnight, the biggest displays of power tools/mechanics tools changed to Craftsman. So, probably you are correct in phasing out of Kobalt brand. Unfortunately, Craftsman is no longer a Sears brand, bought by Stanley Black & Decker, who also now owns DeWalt. Which kind of equates to DRV being bought by Thor.....

The Lowes by us fazed out Kolbalt for Craftsman a few months ago, NO Kolbalt anything at the Lowes anymore!

I just wonder if Craftsman still has the same warranty/replacement policy of old now that it's not a Sears thing.

Yes it does. At least according to the salesman at our Lowe’s. But our Lowe’s still carries Kobalt brand also.

A bit of corporate nuance, but it seems Craftsman will step up for some tools.
