We've had our Rayzar for two and a half years. For the most part it did a good job, but it started acting up this past spring when we started getting intermittent E3 error messages. We could clear the messages by turning it off and then back on. Then in September the E3 messages wouldn't clear anymore and the tracking motor just stopped working altogether. Even though it was out of warranty Winegard sent us new unit (we had to pay shipping) since the intermittent failures started when it was still in warranty.
FYI, this past spring our Winegard DirectTV SWM3 antenna started giving us NO LNB VOLTAGE messages just before the warranty was about to expire on it. The warranty on this unit is one year parts & labor and after that one more year just parts. Winegard did eventually send us a replacement turret (the big heavy motor assembly), but only after lots of troubleshooting on our part since labor wasn't covered by the warranty at that point. First we had to check all the connections, then we had to check the coax from the LNB to the dish, then the LNB unit itself (the thing at the end of the antenna arm), and finally they sent us the entire turret assembly. This resulted in six or seven trips to the roof, including the last one where we had to rig up some ropes and ladders to hoist the thing up on the roof and then bring the old unit back down. It's been working OK ever since, but only after a lot of legwork and heavy lifting on our part. We're getting too old for this stuff!
One final note on Winegard service: getting through on the help line was difficult. We had to wait for a long time, and then a recording came on and told us to leave a message before hanging up on us. Rather than leaving a message we continued to call the help line. I will say that, once we eventually got through, the Winegard representatives we worked with were very polite, professional, and helpful.
