Here's mine in front of the house that paid for it. When I figure out how to resize/upload photos properly, I may have more.

What Campground is that at the St. LUCIE River looks like something we would enjoy

rcharrette,
Tell us about that photo. How'd you do that? One or more photos? How much of a time lapse, flash too? Very nice!

MAXJr758, We were at the Corps of Engineers Campground on the St. Lucie River, just west of Stuart, Florida. It's a very pretty, small campground that is difficult to reserve sites in except in the hot summer. There is also a county (Martin) park just east of the COE park called Phipps Park Campground. There is a much better chance of getting a site there this time of year, but it is not quite as nice. COE is on the west side of the locks and Phipps is on the east side.

Sorry, a bit late getting back on this! I took it with my Nikon D500, 30 second exposure at f2.8. I took a bunch of test shots to get my exposure correct for the Milky Way. Once I got it dialed in I took the shot and used a flashlight to light up the rig for just a few seconds during the exposure.

Kay,
Now that's a camp site. Looks like it says site 40. Anyone in particular to talk to at the Campground to get a site. Can you share a phone number on the Forum? If not please send me a PM with info.

Sheree and I will be planning our big trip this year as my Retirement will occur prior to August.

Hi Mike ! I doubt I will offend anyone by sharing the info from two of our favorite Florida beach front campsites !
Ho Hum is 4 miles east on hiway 98 from Carabelle, near Lanark Village.
That photo shows us parked at site 41. Eileen is the camp host I visit with most. They have a new online reservation system which they are trying to get folks to use (new owner)… Note this RV park is NO FRILLS ! No pool or restaurant on site...WIFI marginal...the draw for us is the BEACH and Harrys Bar in Carabelle (75 yr old WWII )

Kay,

Thanks.

The posting above has been copied and is in my "Retirement Trip" folder.

Our plan is to head East from NC, hit the water, hang a right, follow the shoreline around Florida (lived in Bradenton as a small child during the "Cuban Missile Crisis), travel along the coastline until we reach Texas, turn North to Albuquerque (home town during my teen years) then East to home.

Now we have two of our stops to plan for in Florida.

Thanks again.

DocMike
