Fresh water tank back-feed
My 2018 hurricane 34J, fresh water tank will fill up and then leak water out the fill cap when connected to city water. My feeling is that it must be a check valve probably on or near the water pump... Anyone know where the water pump is located?

Turn the pump on, open a faucet and follow the pump noise.

Tried that... Sounds like maybe in the wall under the shower. But can't find an access point. It has been very easy to find in past RV's I've owned.

Is there an access panel under your bed?

Did you look in the wet bay below the bathroom? That't where mine is.

No. Part of the under bed area is taken up by the out door kitchen along with the fuse and breaker box. Looking under the bed, everything is nailed, no screws. The problem is when the pump is on, all the pipes reverberate which makes it hard to follow the sound.

I think I found your other posting about this problem and answered where to find your pump in that one. It's under your master bed, about in the middle of edge that faces your back window. I have the 2019 (manufactured in July of 2018) 34 J and know this space well. Your outdoor kitchen only goes into about 24 inches. Then the next section contains your water pump and fresh water tank. The last 20-inches at the foot of the bed is open storage.
Along the side of the bed that faces towards the front of the RV is your electrical stuff (junctions, circuit breaker panel, etc).

Cwray,
Thank you, your a genius! I looked all inside the storage area looking for an access point and couldn't find one. After your comment, I pulled the mattress off and there it was, a cut out right where you said. It's funny how the sound travels when the pump is running. I wouldn't have guessed it to be there.
Thanks again,
Frank

I saw your answer, Gritz, but it looked like it didn't register with the OP. To be fair, he's a new owner and it's a king bed. From his post, I recognized him doing the same thing that i did initially and only picked up the closest corner of the bed and saw the electrical stuff.
I had no idea about how things can be tucked inside other things, behind/inside other things for an RV. It took me a good couple of months before I felt brave enough to take the mattress fully off the platform to start poking around.
