Anybody replace the antennae on their coach? Looking for tips or tricks. Mine has broken, the inside knob will not rotate the outside head. The stupid this is plastic and had broken.

I’m going to follow this post, I have a one year old wine guard antenna that also has the same condition. A 3/4 inch plastic tube broke inside the unit. The plastic had broken sometime between usage , it has a location for transport mode and that is on are checklist before we take off. We did drive thru high winds and I expect that was the cause. I have looked to try to find a replacement tube with no luck,so my thoughts were to try to fabricate the tube with 3/4 emt conduit. It would be a huge help if anyone has the length of that tube?

What brand of antenna do you have? Pretty sure there are replacement parts for most major brands. Start by removing the inside mechanism and checking to see if the knob is stripped out. Also need to check on the roof to see if something may be physically blocking the antenna from moving.

It's a Winegard. I already removed the inside knob and a couple of pieces of plastic fell out. Looks like they broke off from the rooftop part of the assembly. Looked online and couldn't find any replacement parts. Winegard's website has a form for support but no answer yet. Amazon sells the whole thing, but I only need a part. Haven't tried PPL and Camping World is dead to me. I guess I'll hit up a local RV shop.

I have exactly the same issue with just one year of use. I think it’s a Winegard razer . I’m thinking to myself the plastic that is broke is part of the antenna shaft and the whole antenna is disposable. I hope I’m wrong.

I replaced ours with the KING Jack HDTV Directional Antenna & Signal Meter after an altercation with a telephone line going out of our yard.

It wasn't too hard, but I did have to order a baseplate to make sure the holes were covered and as an additional seal area. I removed the old antenna and cleaned the area of built up caulk and installed with stainless steel screws and then caulked all seams and screws with dicor caulk.
