I try to drive to maximize economy. Makes me scratch my head too. I log every tank. I would not set speed control to 63 and jack rabbit starts, that wouldn't make sense. Most of my mileage is logged from Fl on interstates to CO & UT. Mostly It's pretty simple. Pull off Interstate fill up get back on Interstate drive 300 miles at 63. Repeat. Have never gotten the mileage others are claiming.
