My bins actually have a flange around the top that hold them "up" in place, but have the same plastic characteristics. I cut a piece of 3/8th's plywood a tad smaller than the flat floor and just placed it in the bins. Works great and transfers the load to the corners and outside walls of the bin while keeping floors flat. I put thick one-sided self sticking foam along edges to reduce friction between wood an plastic. Helps hold stacked things in place also due to positively flat floor.
