Awning question

Recently, I noticed the front arm for the awning on my Hurricane 29M "droops" when rolling in. The plastic/rubber 'knob' that the rolled up awning is supposed to trap between the awning roller and the wall is hanging down a couple of inches. I don't remember if it has always been this way. Any ideas as to why the droop or if it's normal this way.
