Any of you Atlanta, GA owners interested in meeting for this local event? They have the weekly Friday Night Drags throughout the summer. For July 4th, it's held on the 4th which is Thursday night. You can pay $20 and enter through the race car hauler's tunnel (14'-6") and park right in the middle of the event with slides out, generators running and ribs on the grill. The fireworks show is huge and one of the biggest in this area. The fireworks show is after the drag races. It's pretty much a day event but they have full hookups just outside the track if you wanted to stay the night or weekend. It would be a great opportunity for the "Thor Atlanta" bunch to gather and meet new friends...tell a few lies...plan more local events. Any others traveling through Atlanta are welcome as well. No reservations required other than paying at the gate once you get through the tunnel. If you Google the Speedway, the tunnel is on the far West side of the track...enter here and follow the paved road across the infield area to the parking on the East end between turns 3 and 4. I'll post a map if anyone is interested.
